Routinely wash your face.
Your face needs constant care. It’s been the face of your body for quite some time, so you have to take care of your face the same way you take care of your teeth – daily!
Your face should be washed three times a day, especially, at night. Avoid sleeping with pollution and dust that your face was introduced to throughout the day.
Water Shouldn’t be Hot and Not To Cold
Skin is sensitive. Very sensitive in fact, that using hot water will strip all the good oils away. This can to lead to an over-production of oil, and make your face greasy. Cold water will not be able loosen the smog and grim off your skin. An ideal temperature of lukewarm water is needed to rinse the dust and pollution completely.
Just a Bit of Face Wash
It may seem tempting to use large amounts of product when washing your face, but this is counter-intuitive. This is just wasting your face wash, and an excess amount of face wash can strip away the natural oils. In result leaving your skin extremely dry, and create other facial skin problems like acne.
Don’t Stop At Your Face
When washing your face you should also target the neck area. Your neck as your face, can eventually loose its elasticity. The proper maintenance can prevent aging, sagging skin, neck acne, or ingrowns from shaving.
Dry Your Skin Gently
Pat dry is best when drying your face. Your face is sensitive and by rubbing the towel hard on your face will damage your skin, possibly irritating and causing increasing oil.
Follow Up With A Toner
Follow with a toner using a cotton ball. Unbearded areas are advised to use toner on the neck area as well. Bearded areas pat toner lightly. Toner is important and effectively removes dust, impurities or residue remaining from your wash. It also gently removes blemishes and tones your skin.
After toning use again a moderate amount of moisturizer suitable for your skin type skin type. In heated areas use sun protective moisturizer again suitable for your skin type. Oily skin a water based sunscreen is suggested.
